Belvoir continues to capitalize on the success of its financial services division, confirming an 8-year exclusivity agreement with Dacres; a 20-office estate agency network based in Yorkshire.
“We are delighted to announce an exciting new 8-year exclusivity agreement with Dacre, Son and Hartley (“Dacres”); one of the north of England’s largest independent estate agents,” says Belvoir CEO Dorian Gonsalves.
“Our financial services team, which is based in Barnsley, is very well placed to support the Dacres network and is looking forward to working closely with these offices to build up the level of mortgage sales delivered to their extensive client base.
“The existing team of four Dacres advisers will continue to be based at the Dacres offices in Yorkshire. In addition, we plan to introduce two more advisers to this team before the end of this year, and a further four new advisers by the end of next year, which will then provide ten advisers to support the Dacres network of 20 offices.
“This is a great opportunity for everyone. The Dacres network can benefit from the economies of scale and levels of expertise that Belvoir is able to provide, and Belvoir can benefit from an increasing share of the Yorkshire financial services market. This is in line with Belvoir’s strategic objective to expand geographical coverage across the UK and increase penetration of existing territories through the recruitment of additional financial services advisers to work with both independent estate agencies and our Group franchisees who will provide introductions to their clients.
“There is already a great deal of excitement about financial services amongst franchisees across our branded networks of Belvoir, Newton Fallowell and Northwood. Some franchisees, particularly where there are two or more running an office with sufficient volume of sales, are already training to become financial services business partners, setting up their own in-house mortgage businesses under the Group umbrella.
