Mark Newton, founder of Newton Fallowell, which is part of the Belvoir Group, is delighted to confirm that, David Spackman, the company’s current Franchise Director, has been promoted to Managing Director. Mark will take on the new role of Newton Fallowell Chairman, whilst continuing his role as Executive Director on the Belvoir Group PLC Board.
Speaking of the changes at Newton Fallowell, Mark said: “David is very deserving of this promotion, and I would like to congratulate him. This reflects all the hard work that David has undertaken at Newton Fallowell; particularly during the past year. The timing of this announcement coincides with Newton Fallowell’s recent acquisition of the Lovelles network; a predominantly franchised estate agency business consisting of 19 branches, operating in Lincolnshire and the Humber.
“These are exciting time for the Newton Fallowell network, which will now operate under three brands – Newton Fallowell, Goodchilds and Lovelles. I will still be very much involved with the business in my role as Newton Fallowell Chairman, whilst continuing as Executive Director on the Belvoir Group PLC Board, working on several strategic projects for the wider Group, including the further development of financial services.”
David Spackman, who has been with Newton Fallowell for nine years, said: “I am delighted and very proud to accept the role of Newton Fallowell MD. I have 32 years of experience in estate agency and franchise recruitment, having previously owned my own franchise recruitment business, which specialised in property. Prior to working for Newton Fallowell, I worked as Head of Recruitment at Belvoir for three years.
“Newton Fallowell is a highly respected company, with a brilliant reputation. I am very happy that Mark will be remaining in the role of Chairman, as he is a superb mentor, and someone that I can confidently call on for expert professional advice whenever this is required. The acquisition of Lovelles marks another new chapter in Newton Fallowell’s history, and is a fantastic end to 2019. I very much look forward to entering a brand new decade as MD of such a very successful company.”
